In addition to Kuroshio Honjin's Main Building, built to replicate a wayside station, Honjin's separate cottages are the perfect getaway for families or small groups of friends. From mini-parties to small reunions, if you're looking for a place to unwind and bond, look no further!
Each of Honjin's cottages comes with a kitchen, bathroom, toilet, air-conditioning, TV, and refrigerator in a two-bedroom, living room, dining room, kitchen layout. A two-story construction and 8-tatami Japanese-style room provide guests with a little more leg room than the orthodox western-style pension.
Cottages also come with an atrium space and a private terrace where you can take in picturesque views of the Tosa Bay and Kure's fishing town.

Cottage Exterior

Kuroshio Honjin's 6 cottages can occupy up to 8 guests at a time. Each cottage is built spaced out along the path to the observation deck, located west of the Main Building on the mountain side. Each cottage is named after a ship part; 701: Ro-no-Ie (Oar House, 702: Ho-no-Ie (Sail House), 703: He-no-Ie (Bow House), 705: Tomo-no-Ie (Stern House), 706: Kaji-no-Ie: (Helm House), and 707: Gen-no-Ie (Gunwale House). Each cottage also comes with its own terrace, popular for great views of the Tosa Bay and Pacific Ocean and scenic views of Kure's fishing town.

Room rates apply for one guest and include one-night stay, two meals, and one-room occupancy (excludes tax or service surcharges).
Special Holidays refer to periods between December 31st to January 3rd, May 3rd to May 4th and August 13th to August 15th. Pre-high season rates refer to summer periods and special holidays. Please contact us for more details.
Junior high school students will be charged as adults.
Rates and details for children up to elementary school (1-night/2meals):
From ages 3 to 6 (before elem.): 50% off the regular rate
(dinner menu for 3-6 year olds will be a kids set meal)
From ages 6 to 12 (elem. only): 30% off the regular rate
(dinner menu for elem. students will be an elem. student portion meal)
Adult guests will be charged an additional 150 yen bathing tax to their room rate.

Cottage rental rates (max. 8 guests) refer to cottage lodging rates without meals (tax not included). Cottages available for rental include Cottage 705, 706, and 707, which are located above the steps in the upper area.
